The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Records Management Supervisor 2—Computerized Criminal History Manager position. What will you do? You will manage the Computerized Criminal History (CCH) repository, including livescan support, and coordination with agencies statewide for the submission and collection of criminal offender record information. You will have management oversight of staff and program related activities under the NARIP grants in support of repository record improvements. Provide supervision and direction to staff through a subordinate supervisor regarding day-to-day operations, and in coordination with other program managers within the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division. The CCH unit maintains the states repository of criminal offender records in support of the criminal justice community in Oregon, and nationwide through participation in federal programs and initiatives. The repository is one of the foundational components of the criminal justice system. You will coordinate functions with all other programs within CJIS and will maintain current knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, technology, and issues surrounding criminal history records. You will be the representative to criminal justice agencies for the policy, procedure, and coordination of criminal records issues, as well as the federal government for the policy, procedure, and coordination of federal and state partnership programs. Work comes to this position from state statues, local and state criminal justice agencies statewide through the submission of their criminal justice data to the state repository both electronically and manually via US mail, the criminal justice community, CJIS Deputy Director, Division Director, Bureau Commander, other governmental agencies, and the public. Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration): Four Years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Preferred Skills (these must be addressed in your cover letter for full consideration): Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of audiences. Work experience in a public safety agency. Experience managing programs that have external customer impact. Experience managing program staff in a work unit with differing work functions. Experience with time management, organization and prioritization of project deadlines. Skills in personnel management to include hiring, training and discipline. Special Qualifications: Must be LEDS certified or obtain certification after hire.
