Description
Oregon Truss in a dynamic and growing lean manufacturing company which is excited to offer unique career opportunities for individuals looking to grow with us. We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with the skills and potential to grow into an Assistant Controller role. Our ideal candidate has strong research and reconciliation skills, is highly organized with strong Excel and QuickBooks skills, and able to work with little to no supervision.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with the creation and implementation on Month End and Year End schedules and procedures, such as prepaids, fixed assets, leases, and construction in progress.
· Calculating and recording journal entries related to tax and inventory valuations.
· Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
· Investigating and resolving account discrepancies.
· Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
· Performing other accounting duties and supporting accounting staff as required or assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
· 3-5 years of accounting experience.
· Working knowledge of AP/AR and GAAP.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel, and QuickBooks.
