About The Role – 28116 - Sourcing Manager (Centennial, CO)
Orica North America is seeking our next Sourcing Manager. This position will be based in our North America Corporate Headquarters, located in Centennial, CO, USA.
The Sourcing Manager will lead the source to pay process by developing sourcing strategy, executing the end to end sourcing activity including the category and supplier segmentation, negotiation and selection process, and supplier management, with the purpose of mitigating supply risk, meet or exceed business requirements and continuously improve our cost position.
This position will require you to report to the Centennial office at least three days per week.
What you will be doing
- Manages safety performance according to Orica principles and encourages everyone to do the same
- Actively assures compliance with all Supply Chain related Mandates, Operating Models, Standards, Policies and Procedure
- Provides strategic leadership across Sourcing and broader Supply Chain team ensuring coordination and cooperation
- Leads a team – clear objectives defined throughout the team whilst developing individuals through talent succession planning
- Leads the elaboration of category strategy for those categories not managed by global (Discrete, Transport, Engineering Spare Parts, PPE, Packaging, MRO, Services).
- Leads the elaboration of the sourcing strategy for each category and execute them.
- the outcomes meet or exceed business requirements and are fully aligned with Group Standards
- Prepares, distributes, collates and analyses RFx processes
- Lead the data collection, spend analysis, go to market strategy, negotiations, contracting and vendor management.
- Lead the preparation, distribution, and analysis for each RFx process.
- Develop negotiation strategies to ensure Orica’s position is commercially and legally strong and will deliver the best outcome.
- Anticipate changes in the sourcing landscape and update the negotiation strategies to suit it.
- Share market intelligence to update global category strategies.
- Inform cost trends and updates into the annual budget cycle and periodic forecasting process.
- Feeds back to the Site and/or Global counterparts on market intelligence and insights to support the periodic update of the category strategy
- Drives efficient order processing through centralization of transactional activities and leveraging on best practices, ensuring all purchases go through standard sourcing process and comply with regulation and audit requirements
- Drives improvements to close gaps in processes and performance metrics particularly for spend and contracts database (SAP)
- Drives and promotes best practices; Monitor non-compliance findings, driving resolution of issues and promotion of Continuous Improvement
- Maintains close working relationships with suppliers, customers, Supply Chain network satisfaction
- Facilitates cross-functional multi-level engagements
- Lead continuous improvement activities affecting procedures, processes, and supply chain activities (Supply Chain Optimization)
- Ensures Planning Strategy and Category Strategies are aligned and are meeting the contract requirements agreed
- Maintains close working relationships with suppliers, customers, Supply Chain network satisfaction
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in industrial engineering, business administration, logistics, supply chain, transportation, or a business-related field
- MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or relevant field is a plus
- At least 15 years experience in supply chain
- Solid experience with SAP Ariba
- Proven influencer able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups
- Working knowledge of regional regulations relating to SC operations, coupled with experience of best practice SC implementation

Compensation Range
• $112,575 - $157,000
• Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
