OGX Media Experiences, LLC operates Harry Potter: Magic at Play! in the Chicago area and is looking for a Facilities Supervisor to guide the team maintaining this experience. This temporary role will run from early March through May 21, 2023.

Job Summary:

The Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for building, developing, and managing the Show Services Department. The ideal candidate has experience in various areas of technology and facilities management, with knowledge of tools and building systems. The chosen candidate must lead by example, demonstrating the core values of passion, excellence, safety, and fun on a day-in, day-out basis.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00.  

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and sound judgment to the Show Services Department
• Interview, hire, train, and develop members of the Show Services Department
• Develop, manage, and approve line schedules for the Show Services Department
• Implement policies, processes, procedures, and schedules for the preventative and corrective maintenance of the facility and attraction
• Verify completion of daily, weekly, and monthly inspection checklists for the Show Services Department
• Oversee and participate in on-site day-to-day technical & facility services including, but not limited to: attraction’s exhibits, facility maintenance (both preventative and corrective), and custodial services
• Constantly positions self to clean and maintain exhibit equipment to ensure optimal guest experience
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA, industry, and local regulations
• Understands and strictly adheres to Rules and Regulations established, such as the policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety
• Prepare for facility inspections and certifications
• Establish insight and direction for risk management and safety standards
• Interface with Venue Management and third-party managers to achieve strategic goals and objectives
• Work with Venue Management, and any other appropriate project leads on a daily basis
• Be part of the MOD (Manager on Duty) rotation at various times
• Regularly evaluate maintenance processes according to organizational objectives and provide feedback
• Any and all duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
• 1 years of leadership experience in a large-scale public assembly facility setting
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
• Ability to safely operate and perform maintenance of required equipment
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical and manufacturer’s procedures, and government regulations
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Effective time management, task management, and communication
• Computer and administration skills, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel programs
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced team
• Strategic thinker with strong conceptual skills, self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, and adaptable
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to effectively interface with the public and handle emergency situations in a calm and authoritative manner
• Frequently moves items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
