What are the responsibilities and job description for the HSSE Advisor - Fabrication position at Orion Group?
HSSE Inspector
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring Contractors (KOS, Gate, GIS, Ace, Stallion, etc.) and subcontractor's compliance with the HSSE Program
- Be highly visible in the worksite regularly engaging and coaching new individuals (in-field coaching on fall protection, DROPs prevention, barricading, etc.)
- Being proactive and monitoring the use of safety equipment, personnel protection equipment and practices in the construction and Commissioning work areas
- Working with the KOS and Gate safety representatives to achieve continuous improvement in safety practices, training and procedures
- Fostering the Make Ready Site Induction, Safety briefings, Permit to Work meetings and Job Safety Analysis'
- Support contractor SSE management (ensure SSE's are working with mentors, crews are appropriate compliment per company policy / contract, etc.)
- Training the Make Ready Site Team in appropriate ways of recognizing unsafe work and intervening
- Participant in incident investigations related to safety
- Collating and presenting HSSE statistics, Key Performance Indicators
- Performing HSSE audits
- Interfacing/ coordinate with other Make Ready Site Team groups
Required skills:
- Prior Deepwater construction experience is preferred
- Knowledgeable of IOGP-577
- Ability to be flexible on work schedule, i.e. days / nights / holidays
