Financial Controller

Summary:

The controlleris responsible for the accounting operations of the company. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains and enforces a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Oversee all accounting needs of the company
• Ensure that accounts payable are paid
• Process payroll
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transaction
• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report
• Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
• Provide for a system of management cost reports
• Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

COMPETENCIES:

Employee should be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products and Quickbooks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The primary duties of this position are typically performed in a professional office environment.

Education and Qualifications:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Master's or CPA preferred

3 years of accounting experience required.

Compensation Package:

The position offers an annual salary that ranges from $45,000 to $80,000. Placement within the salary range is based on experience. Orion also offers health insurance, paid time off, and the ability to work a hybrid schedule of remote and office work.
