The Role:
Landsberg Orora is seeking a Cartage Lead. Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, operates in a lead capacity coordinating various aspects of the cartage operation.
- This position will report to the: Warehouse Manager
- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role
In this role you will perform the following duties:
- The Cartage Lead assists the Warehouse Manager and other coworkers in ensuring that all activities are conducted according to safe work practices and ensures the highest level of safety consciousness in all operations.
- The Cartage Lead consistently conducts himself/herself in alignment with the principles set forth by the company mission statement and company values.
- Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Cartage Lead will lead (guide) the outbound operations including picking, routing, dispatch and shipment.
- Maintains accurate inventory.
- Operates the Warehouse Management System.
- Coordinates the activities with day and night warehouse operations.
- Provides training and development for coworkers.
- Works with the Warehouse Manager on various administrative responsibilities.
- Works with other departments to achieve goals.
- Performs back-up to the Warehouse Manager as needed.
- Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, provides input on workload activities and coworker assignments to accomplish daily and weekly tasks.
- Works with the Warehouse Manager on onboarding of permanent and temporary coworkers.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Experience and Certifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trucking and distribution
- A CDL Class A is preferred
