Position Summary
The Rebate Analyst’s main function is to administer and support the Vistex Program in conjunction with SAP to accurately account for, track and reconcile all Customer and Supplier Volume Rebates along with Customer specific price supports from Suppliers (Chargebacks)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Adds and updates Customer and Supplier Volume Agreements in SAP/Vistex as necessary.
- Processes periodic (primarily quarterly or annually) Customer and Supplier Rebate Payments and Collections, respectively.
- Tracks and reconciles Supplier Volume Rebate Payments, working with Suppliers to resolve any variances and initiating collection activity for past due Rebates.
- Coordinates Customer Rebate Payments with Accounts Payable and Division Management.
- Books Accrual and Reconciling Journal Entries as part of the Month End Process.
- Adds and updates Chargebacks in SAP/Vistex as new agreements are reached with Suppliers.
- Processes periodic (primarily monthly) Chargeback claims and submits appropriate paperwork to Suppliers, ensuring that they are filed timely.
- Settles Chargeback payments from Suppliers; reconciles and accounts for any variances.
- Issues reports to identify any expring agreements and communicate this to Sales Representatives and other divisional co-workers to work with them to secure and update new agreements.
- Identifies improvement opportunities via automation of processes or more efficient methodologies.
- Performs other duties and/or responsibilites as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s (4-year) Degree preferred
- Previous experience within Accounting, Finance or Supplier Management
- Prior experience with SAP and/or Vistex a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Detail oriented and accurate with numbers
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
- Proficient in advanced MS Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships internally and externally
- Ability to operate individually and employ solid decision-making skills
