The Role
As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking an Associate Service Desk Specialist who is responsible for providing first level support for the user community and their respective applications and equipment. They will be the first point of contact for the IS Service Desk, providing desk-side and remote assistance in resolving Tier I technology support issues when possible and escalating to the appropriate personnel when necessary. Serves as primary support for ticket queue and Service Desk group mailbox monitoring, as well as acquiring and providing detailed information for issues and tasks that require escalation. Will require knowledge in commonly used business applications. This role is onsite in Athen's Ohio.
The Responsibilities
- Receive calls for assistance from QuidelOrtho staff by phone, email or in person and to log, resolve or distribute those calls to the appropriate IS staff.
- Perform hands on updates, repairs, configuration and end user training of corporate IS equipment, to include Computers, Mobile Devices, Multi-Function Copiers, Telecommunication/Collaboration devices and Audio/Visual technologies.
- Corporate application account administration in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Create, update and provide feedback on procedures for both IS and our internal customers. These include not only technical but also business processes.
- Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.
- Primary point of support for providing user updates, follow ups and working with the Service Desk Administrators to properly attend to and assign escalations when needed
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
The Individual
Required:
- Community College, Computer Training Center or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
- One or more years working in a Technical Support/Service Desk environment.
- A , Network , CCNA, MCP, and/or MCSA, desired.
- ITIL Certification a plus

- This position interacts with all areas and levels of the company, including consultants, vendors, and external customers.

- External vendors and technicians.
The Work Environment
This position operates in a typical office environment and is onsite in AthenS OH.
Salary Transparency
Salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including: education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, its is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. A salary range for this position is $28,600 to $53,000. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
