Position Overview:
As a Clinic Manager at OrthoArkansas, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating clinical services, ensuring that the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with the Director of Operations and other Clinical Managers to develop and implement policies and procedures, manage staffing needs, and ensure patient care is delivered to the highest standard. This role also includes handling day-to-day operations, from scheduling and staffing to resolving patient and staff issues, contributing to the overall success and functionality of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Coordination and Management:
- Coordinate the technical and general aspects of assigned staff, ensuring compliance with clinic, governmental, and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of clinic staff.
- Maintain and adjust the master work schedule, ensuring appropriate staffing coverage across the clinic.
- Approve time reports, manage overtime, and coordinate paid leave.
2. Policy and Procedure Development:
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations and other Clinical Managers to recommend, develop, and implement clinic policies and procedures.
- Communicate updates on workflow, policies, and procedures to the staff.
3. Patient Care and Workflow:
- Monitor clinic workflow regularly and identify solutions to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Evaluate patient care needs, addressing crisis problems and complaints, and suggesting solutions.
- Handle patient complaints according to clinic policy and provide resolutions for patients, staff, and physicians.
4. Operational Management:
- Coordinate the purchasing of medical supplies and medications, ensuring clinic operations run smoothly.
- Manage physician clinic schedules, monitor physician PTO days, and communicate updates on clinic additions or cancellations.
- Monitor the Athena Clinical Inbox for assigned staff and manage delinquent dictation notifications and follow-up.
5. Staff Development and Support:
- Assign duties, participate in staff training, and arrange in-service education as needed.
- Identify staff-related issues, study potential solutions, and recommend improvements.
- Ensure government-required programs like MIPS are communicated and complied with.
6. Additional Duties:
- Attend required meetings, participate in committees, and engage in professional development activities.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned to support clinic operations and patient care.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required, with additional specialized training or on-the-job education.
- 4 years of related experience and/or training, with 2 years of management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Software Skills:
- Basic proficiency in 10-Key, accounting, human resources systems, payroll systems, spreadsheets, and word processing/typing.
