What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant position at Orthopedics Rhode Island?
The purpose of the Human Resources Assistant for OrthoRI is to be integral in all recruiting functions, and provide a high-level candidate and patient experience, administrative support, and delivering operational excellence to the OrthoRI team. The Human Resources Assistant serves at the forefront of OrthoRI’s candidate experience and supports the employee lifecycle through onboarding.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborates with the hiring managers to assist with recruitment efforts including; assessing candidate information, review resumes, prescreen candidates and coordinate interviews
- Performs full-cycle recruitment activities for all applicable entities including; posting, sourcing, creating job offer, and conducting the required pre-employment screenings
- Providing a prompt and excellent candidate experience to each candidate interacted with
- Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; maintaining rapport
- Conduct interviews over the phone, in-person or virtually
- Conduct reference checks for all prospective hires
- Scheduling orientations
- Preparing and sending offer letters and onboarding documents to hired candidates
- Providing a smooth transition between recruitment and onboarding
- Communicating with all hiring managers on the status of open positions
- Manage and update all job posting databases
- Utilizing job posting databases to run searches for potential candidates
- Organize the employee referral process including managing bonus requests
- Prepare and distribute reporting on recruitment and new hire metrics
- Organize and attend job fairs and recruiting events
- Assist in new hire orientations
- Compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Assisting fellow HR team members as needed
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Physical Demands:
- Requires mobility, frequent walking, standing, and sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching and periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to converse and hear.
- Requires normal (corrected) vision.
- Requires coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., but may vary depend on Company Schedule.
Effective December 1, 2021, all Orthopedics Rhode Island employees are required to have an initial dose of vaccine to prevent Covid-19. Effective October 1, 2021, all employees of RI licensed health care facilities must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
