Job Overview: Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist
As a Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with limb loss or orthopedic disabilities. Your expertise in designing, fabricating, and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices will directly impact the mobility, functionality, and well-being of your patients. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' anatomical structure, functional capabilities, and lifestyle needs.
- Gather relevant medical history and diagnostic information to inform the prosthetic or orthotic treatment plan.
- Device Design and Fabrication:
