Ortho On-Call is a growing Urgent Care enterprise, and we are currently recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.This position will join our exceptional team of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and sports medicine physicians and will ensure our teams continue to deliver quality care in a patient-focused setting. Ortho On-Call's walk-in urgent care clinics are designed specifically to treat acute orthopedic-related injuries and conditions and is supported by the board-certified physicians and full-service therapies of OrthoVirginia. Primary Functions & Accountabilities
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages for immediate health care needs, as well as provide employer services.
- Urgent care.As we are open 361 days a year, weekend and evening shifts will be required.
- Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests
- Fracture/Dislocation reductions/management, laceration repair, joint injections
- Instructs patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plan and medications
- Consults with physicians when warranted to assess patient condition and treatment plan
- Ensures that medical charts and administrative paperwork are completed in a timely manner
- Performs within guidelines of specific privileges approved by the governing body and delegated by the Medical Director
- Provides support to medical and office staff
