Job Description
QA Hardware Engineer / Hybrid in San Francisco (2x/week - negotiable) / Up to $130,000 Equity
Oscar Tech is looking for a Hardware and Software QA Engineer for a company who develops professional web cams to be used for zoom, teams' meetings, etc. As they deploy more devices, the company will need to scale the quality of their system in line with the sale of their devices. The quality owner will have to deploy a process that meets the needs of the development team to take into account the different release paths that the company uses.
- Regression test new builds to ensure that incremental changes do not cause new issues
- Quality release candidates across several different platforms.
- Automation and tooling to increase productivity
The Skills:
- Hardware Testing Experience
- Experience with writing/conducting their own automated tests
- Automated Testing
- Python, Swift, or C
- Embedded Software
- Manual Testing
Responsibilities:
- Work with Engineering to release a comprehensive quality plan that works to increase the overall quality of the company's experience.
- Define test cases and develop automated tests where possible
- Set up hardware and software to get a good overall function in the field
- Maintain a fleet of testing devices and host machines
- Work with engineers to produce an automated test environment (this can include the production of end2end tests and the review of developer unit tests)
