What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Labor/manufacturing 1st Shift position at Oshkosh Coil Spring, Inc.?
- 3rd Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Minimum of 1 year steady manufacturing experience at the same job
- Machine experience needed
- Good math skills
- Ability to use a Caliper
- Shop floor experience and past use of shop floor tools preferred.
- Mechanically inclined
- Assembly or packaging experience is a plus, willing to train
- Previous experience in measuring and great math skills is also a plus
- Must be detail-oriented and quality conscious
- Attendance is key
- Required to lift 10 pounds, frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.

ON-SITE TRAINING!
Role:
Perform many of the secondary or finishing functions involved in spring making. The process involves painting, racking & un-racking, packaging parts, press machine to perform many functions, wire-bending, baking & heat treating parts in large ovens and placing parts into various style grinders, assembly, looping, and more. As the shop floor changes with the product mix, you will have many opportunities to learn several different stations and new positions!! There are many opportunities for advancement for qualified individuals who show promise and initiative. This includes set-ups, machine tending or machine operation, and that’s just the start! You could move into Quality Control, Parts Inspection, Material Handling, Maintenance even Supervision!!
