JOB SUMMARY: The Collection Team Lead will provide Accounts Receivable collection support to one of Oshkosh Corporation’s business units. This position involves active participation in collection work and also supervising a team of Collection Specialists to meet Business Unit and Corporate A/R delinquency metrics and further meeting broader organizational objectives. Ongoing process improvements, including aspects of simplification and automation is part of this role. The Collection Team Lead will drive problem resolution, handle escalated issues, and work in partnership with both internal and external customers, often interacting with Senior Leadership. Providing superior customer service to internal and external customers and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to management on A/R and Team performance is critical to this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned. Supervise and train a team of Collection Specialists to drive timely and effective A/R collections by consistently modeling the desired behaviors, by building relationships to help Oshkosh and the business unit achieve stated goals, and by ensuring the entire team is professionally investigating customer and business unit issues and coordinating effective resolutions as rapidly as possible.. Directly support specific A/R portfolio collection work with effective communication to both internal and external customers. Lead and participate in the ongoing review of new parts orders from external customers. Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Oshkosh Commercial Credit Team. Maintain files, forms and computer-based records in compliance with company policies and procedures. Partner with internal and external customers to answer questions on business transaction processing requirements and respond to inquiries. Lead efforts to resolve error correction efforts and respond to changing business requirements. Perform monthly defined balancing and reconciliation procedures to ensure transactions have been properly recorded. Prepare accurate and timely transaction processing reports for Team and internal management needs. Apply continuous improvement management principles and participate in process analysis and improvement projects. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience leading others. Ability to balance multiple high priority activities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc. Understanding of basic financial and accounting concepts.
