This position is primarily responsible for the operations of all plant refrigeration systems and related equipment.
MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain all refrigeration equipment's for plant refrigeration systems.
- Maintain related equipment to refrigeration systems (piping, valves, water conditioners, etc.).
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems and maintain records of repairs, P.M. and operating parameters.
- Maintain other plant maintenance equipment such as air compressors, boilers and hot water heating systems.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures in the event of ammonia safety related incidences.
- Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Interface with state and federal government agencies as required.
- Document as needed for compliance with OSHA and PSM program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
REQUIRED SKILLS
- PSM & PHA participation in program tracking and training
- Ability to read blueprint / diagrams
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Must have own hand tools.
- Lift up to 40lbs.
- Standing, walking, and climbing for 8 hours a day.
- Multi-craft / multi-skilled with expertise in electrical, electrical controls, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics and fabrication.
- Working and practical knowledge of plant utility systems is highly desirable, (including boiler systems, ammonia refrigeration systems, compressed air systems).
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Must have own hand tools.
