Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent with two or more years of claims processing, insurance billing, patient registration and eligibility verification experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with a computerized billing system. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact and diplomacy.
Preferences: Experience with EPIC; experience in a high volume centralized billing office or clearinghouse.
What will you be doing?
What will you be doing?
Uses knowledge of invoices, claims, insurance billing and medical terminology in order to complete multiple tasks. Acts as a liaison between the physician and third parties by resolving edits in order for claims to be filed cleanly. Updates and resolves patient accounts for billing as directed.
