Rooms To Go is looking for someone that wants to build a career with a fantastic furniture retail company! The Visual Merchandiser's role for our outlet store is dynamic with a broad range of responsibilities. The position touches many different aspects of the business and is vital in driving store sales.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Floor Presentation and Event Preparation
- Coordinate and facilitate proper staging, tagging and visual maintenance of merchandise, as well as the appropriate display of the Outlet floor to ensure appropriate daily showroom recovery and store readiness.
- Works independently to insure proper visual appearance of showroom.
- Leads visual team in special projects and showroom floor reset.
Inventory Control
- Monitor’s demand and proactively manages the coordination of transfers to the store to ensure consistent flow of merchandise to maintain optimal levels of stock at all times
- Ensure sold merchandise is removed from the floor and immediately replaced to maximize inventory turn ratio
Merchandise Pricing and Tagging
- Assist with execution of all pricing and tagging initiatives to continuously move product and ensure merchandise is tagged accurately
Market Analysis
- Perform regular market analysis and competitive shop to keep abreast of market trends and opportunities
- Entering Data for Store Transfers and Purchase Orders
- Managing Product Flow, ensure merchandise and Rooms To Go standards are followed
- Communicate merchandising layouts, planograms, and store listings
- Create and implement store merchandising plans and standards
- Conduct routine store walks
- Educate district and store leaders on merchandising strategies
- Maximize inventory productivity and maintain proper inventory levels
- Perform statistical analysis to identify district trends
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Design, Retail or Merchandising or equivalent work experience required
- Excellent computer, analytical and communication skills
- Advanced computer literacy primarily with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Motivated to learn with a strong sense of urgency
- Detail oriented
Flexibility to work retail hours. The anticipated workload may require an approximate 40 hours per week, which may vary per week based on location and time required to complete the job. You may also lead a team of Operations Associates in day to day sales floor maintenance, special projects and manage the team’s time effectively to meet deadlines, depending on location and need.
