The Opportunity:
Out Teach is seeking experienced elementary and early childhood educators to provide training and coaching. The ideal candidate is experienced in elementary Science and STEM, facilitating instruction outdoors, and coaching and training other educators. Candidates that are selected will become part of a pool, hired temporarily on an as-needed basis. This position reports to the Director of Professional Learning and delivers the highest quality products and services, both virtual and in-person to our district and school partners, consistently and with fidelity. Instructional Coaches develop meaningful relationships with teachers and school administrators to provide training and job-embedded coaching. This position also develops lesson plans and other instructional tools to support coaching activities as needed. Additionally, coaches are responsible for implementing elements of the organization’s evaluation plan. We serve schools and districts in locations including but not limited to Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia and Texas. Coaches must be able to travel to multiple counties and districts within their service area, as well as provide services virtually to a national audience.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities listed below with fidelity to the Out Teach service delivery model. The duties and responsibilities include the following, though other duties may be assigned:
- Plan and facilitate the following:
- Teacher Professional Learning
- Instructional Coaching
- Write lesson plans and modules in multiple content areas using the 5E instructional model.
- Utilize the Out Teach online platform to share resources with school partners and provide schools with experiential learning expertise.
- Develop and cultivate relationships at the school level to ensure Learning Labs are embedded in each school’s culture.
- Coordinate closely with Partnership Manager to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Implement elements of the organization’s evaluation plan.
Requirements

Education/Experience:
- A four-year college degree in a relevant field of study is preferred
- At least five years of experience as an elementary classroom teacher, with three years facilitating outdoor experiential learning
- Proven effectiveness coaching and training educators, virtually and in-person
- Range of teaching experience across grade levels and content areas with expertise in science and experiential learning best practices
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365
