The Administrative Office houses the Finance, Resource Development, Human Resource, Volunteer Services, Grant Management and Executive offices for Outreach and its divisions: Outreach Carol Stream, Outreach Wheaton, Outreach Warrenville, Outreach York, and the Outreach Community Counseling Centers.
Job Responsibilities:
The Director of Grants Management is responsible for managing the 3-member grants team which stewards approx. $2M annually in state and local government grants and United Way funds. The Director of Grants Management is responsible for managing the grant application process and post-award processes to ensure compliance with grant terms and agreements. Specific responsibilities include maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s needs and goals; supervision of other grant professionals; collaboration with the CFO to ensure accurate grant set up in finance systems, expenditure analysis and budget development; the tracking of grant conditions including timing and accuracy of reports; effective communication of program and financial information to senior managers and program managers; grant research and writing; procedure development; internal monitoring and coordination of response to audit requests; representation at grant mandated meetings; and active participation as a member of Outreach’s management team. Reports to the Senior Program Officer for Neighborhood Services.
Requirements:
A passion for Outreach’s mission. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 7 years grant experience; 5 years staff management experience and previous fiscal management experience. High level proficiency in research, interpreting and analyzing diverse data; excellent writing skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization; strong project management skills; ability to produce quality work product under time constraints while establishing standards and deadlines for team members; intermediate skills in Microsoft Word/ Excel/ Outlook and experience with digital project management tools. Status:
Full-time at 40-45 hours per week. Monday- Friday.
Compensation:
Annual salary falls between $65,000 - $80,000 based on education, skills, and experience.
