Primary Objectives: As Content Manager, you work with the technical editors, contracted writers, photographers, brands, trail organizations, riders, and sales team to share great content on Pinkbike. You always have your fingers on the pulse of the mountain bike world and spend your days finding and sharing timely mountain bike videos, news, reviews, stories and race coverage, interviewing athletes and industry folks on various subjects, filtering, editing and polishing user-generated content, managing social media, and working with the advertising and sales operations teams on paid content including contests, fantasy leagues, travel pieces, and newsletters. As necessary, you will also attend trade shows, product launches, contests and races.

Professional Responsibilities

• 30% Editing and scheduling news, tech, videos, and user-generated content in conjunction with the editorial team, brands, event organizers, and photographers.
• 25% Creating original content including roundups, reviews and first looks on new products, interviews with athletes and industry folks on various subjects, and race coverage.
• 20% Working with the advertising and sales operations teams on paid content including contests, fantasy leagues, travel pieces, and newsletters.
• 10% Scouring the internet for news and reacting to those stories quickly and efficiently.
• 10% Overseeing social media paid and organic content
• 5% Attending trade shows, product launches, contests and races.

Professional Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years’ working experience in a related field.
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Expert knowledge of mountain biking with tonnes of enthusiasm; living and breathing bikes is critical.
• High level writing and proofreading capabilities; you need to be able to spot errant commas and dangling modifiers all day long.
• Strong digital skills, with proficiency in Adobe CC and modern cloud workflows. It’s a diverse job that will require frequent on-the-fly learning.
• Must live in North America and speak fluent English. It's a remote role but candidates near Squamish (or willing to relocate) preferred.
• Able to bring new concepts and ideas to the table.
• Comfortable with fast turnaround on projects; applicants will be asked to demonstrate effective skills in prioritizing.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and passport.
• Experience with global mountain bike travel and media camps is a plus.
