What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at Ovation Behavior Group?
Join our team as a Behavior Technician! We're seeking a skilled Behavior Technician to work afternoons with a learner in their home in Scotch Plains, NJ:
- Openings: Mondays through Friday, 4:30-7 OR Wednesday and Friday 3-6
- Activities: Guide and coach learners in developing skills involving socialization and engaging independently at home and in the community. You'll be taught to embed specific programs in puzzles, board games, interactive workbooks, and community outings.
- Supervision: Recieve on-site weekly supervision from an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Additional Responsibilities: Work under the direction of a BCBA to implement behavior intervention plans and strategies, collect and record data on progress, maintain a safe and supportive environment, provide feedback to BCBA regarding progress and concerns
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred, high school degree required
- Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior plans accurately
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
