We currently have a multi-facility, fast-growing client seeking assistance with Gap Coverage on an ongoing basis to cover occasional shifts or to cover for employees out on vacation or leave. Location: Two Locations – Addison, Illinois and Rogers Park, Illinois
Reports To: Practice Manager
Compensation: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Assists professional clinical staff by performing routine patient care, laboratory procedures and clerical procedures to support the delivery of patient care.
● Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; disposing of contaminated supplies; sterilizing medical instruments; administering medications on the premises; authorizing drug refills as directed; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies; phlebotomy; taking electrocardiograms; removing sutures; changing dressings. This will include psychiatric drugs as well as primary care drug refills.
● Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room; providing examination gowns and drapes; helping them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment; arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment.
● Verifies patient information by interviewing patients; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
● Educates patients by providing medication and diet information and instructions; answering questions.
● Completes records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results.
● Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
● Coordinates scheduling for behavioral and primary health care appointments
● Initiating and obtaining prior authorizations for patient medication.
● Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures that comply with legal regulations.
● May need to perform front desk duties as needed.
● Performs phlebotomy tasks per physician order.
Qualifications:
● Experience working in a federally qualified community health setting, six months to a year preferred.
● Must have basic computer skills (Word processing, Excel and EHR)
● Bilingual in both English and Spanish
● Current Immune status required
● Must have COVID-19 vaccination (with or without booster)
● Must have annual flu shot
RN Skills and Qualifications:
