Construction Estimator Job Responsibilities:
- Read and analyze construction plans and specifications.
- Perform accurate quantity take offs.
- Have a good understanding of construction labor and costs.
- Be able to communicate with various material vendors.
- Develop proposals for construction projects.
- Writes up and presents budgets and reports for projects.
- Assist with project management.
- Putting together submittal packages for projects.
- Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
- Attend pre-construction site visits.
- Monitor construction processes.
Construction Estimator Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a construction estimator
- Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
- Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics
- Ability to navigate specifications and plans
- Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at once
- Close attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in applicable field is a plus, but not required
- At least 3 years of related experience is required
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
