Summary
- The technician will use their knowledge of Analog, Digital Camera, DVR, and NVR technology to install and troubleshoot systems. The manufacturers that are installed are Hikvision, Exacqvision, Digital Watchdog, Milestone, Vicon, and VI products. We can train on all products but mid-level knowledge of CCTV systems is required.
- The technician will use their knowledge of Access control systems, to install and troubleshoot systems. The manufacturers that are installed are S2, Honeywell, Procure, and Millennium. We can train on all products but mid-level knowledge of Access Control systems is required.
- This position requires timely response and a “can do” attitude with high customer service skills.
- This position will include a portfolio of buildings and will require travel between the buildings throughout all of Hartford County. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- All work will be done directly at client locations.
- Regular computer use will be required.
- General working knowledge of networking will be required.
- On-site work may require climbing ladders, various types of lifts, working in data closets, and outdoor work with exposure to cold/heat and rain/snow.
- On-site work requires pulling cable through ceiling tiles, conduits, etc.
- On-site work may require driving anywhere in our service area.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. while observing all company and legal safety policies and requirements.
- Ability to use power tools, multi-meter, camera tester, fiber tester, data cable tester.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagram, and building drawings.
- Must have the ability to work under direct supervision and unsupervised at times.
- Must have good communication skills.
- The work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm.
Background/ Education
- High School diploma or GED is required. A Connecticut low-voltage license is required C or L
- Minimum 12 months working experience servicing camera systems.
- Minimum 12 months working experience servicing access control systems.
- Background Check, MVR check, and drug screen are required.
