Summary
Job Summary
Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of clinical staff.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
- Develops implements and evaluates educational programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
- Serves as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
- Participates in the coordination of orientation programs, preceptor development, annual skills assessments, and simulations.
- Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience required
- RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire AND
- BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position
