Barista - Full-time M-F 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Are you an experienced and energetic Barista? The Oxford Center’s state of the art Modbar coffee shop, Colossians 3:23 is seeking a Barista who enjoys building strong relationships with customers and has a passion for serving others with a love of coffee!

THE POSITION:

Barista - Full-time - Mon-Fri 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (No weekends)

 Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers in a friendly manner while taking orders for food and drink
• Preparing and serving various types of hot and cold coffees and teas from simple to elaborate
• Preparing and serving grab-and-go food items such as breakfast sandwiches, veggie cups, muffins, and pastries
• Answering customers’ questions about menu choices
• Promoting and recommending menu options to customer
• Taking payment from customers
• Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs
• Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
• Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Listen well and communicates in a professional and friendly manner
• Focus on customer satisfaction
• Practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beverages
• Be efficient and organized
• Build good relationships with customers and co-workers
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Keep supplies replenished to minimize downtime

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• ServSafe certification is preferred
• Barista experience is preferred
