PRIMARY PURPOSE

The HSE Representative position is responsible for providing HSE support for operations and projects for Oxy's ten Gulf of Mexico (GoM) operating assets. The position reports to the HSE Manager for GOM Production Operations and Projects. This position is located in The Woodlands, Texas.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate and move programs through the review process to comply with our Management System and HSE requirements.
• Support the team with IH management to include the audiogram and fit testing needs for training compliance.
• Assist in the roll out and implementation of HSE initiatives to include organizing meetings and sending out communications to the various stakeholders.
• Support the Onshore Team Leads and Offshore HSE Representatives as needed.
• Help with the development of our Shut-In Flyers & Safety Campaigns to include development of posters and content for sharing.
• Provide review and facilitate the development and updating of HSE training CBTs
• Promote and share our LiveSafe culture.
• Support the collection of monthly man-hours.
• Be the point of contact for MSDS online for our Business Unit and be the interface with our corporate support.
• Support office incident investigations and manage incidents in incident management system to closure including corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of relevant Health & Safety experience working in the Oil & Gas industry
• Strong organization skills
• Experience with Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with multiple teams across different disciplines
• Basic knowledge of GoM regulatory requirements
• Presentation skills

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPENTENCIES

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Health & Safety, Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience required.

Travel Requirements:

The percentage of travel required for this position is 0-15%

Work Schedule:

Position is eligible for the 9/80 schedule

Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation.
