Store Lead Career Description
Reports to: Operations Manager
Responsible for overseeing daily operations of the store, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
· Supervise and direct staff and team groups in day to day operations
· Assign daily checklist tasks and ensure they are completed by staff on each shift
· Ensure staff meet pacing and work completion time standards
· Ensure staff meet professional workplace behavior standards
· Ensure staff meet customer service standards
· Ensure staff adhere to attendance, dress code, and policy/procedures
· Review staff performance and offer constructive feedback, retraining and corrective actions
· Collaborate with leads/managers cross-departmentally on setting and achieving team-specific goals and store goals
· Ensure shelves/displays storewide are full and fronted and faced at the end of each shift
· Track pacing and work completion time standards
· Oversee store security on all Co-op property
· Actively manage staff, working alongside and setting pacing standards through example 75-90% of shift
· Track pacing and work completion time standards for staff to ensure daily work output matches standards
· Create and publish staff schedule
· Conduct, process and submit evaluations and reviews for 45, 90 and yearly prior to deadlines
· Oversee facilities maintenance and cleanliness
· Schedule staff for mandatory events such as equipment cleanings, inventory, staff meetings, etc.
· Distribute vendor checks as needed
· Train staff or delegate task to authorized individuals, provide re-trainings in the moment as needed
· Open or close store following all beginning and end of shift processes
· Point person for store emergencies, on call for non-business hour emergencies
· Additional tasks as assigned
Requirements:
· 21 years of age or older
· Open availability including during business hours and non-business hours
· On call for non-business hour emergencies such as equipment alarms or security issues
· Professional workplace behavior
· Reliable, dependable attendance
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
· Microsoft Word/Excel proficient
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
All physical movement typical of working in a fast-paced grocery store including ability to complete these tasks for an 8 hour period: stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, sit, climb, lift, see, hear, quick pace, fine motor skills of hands and fingers, ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment, and handle indoor working temperatures and consistent but short-term outdoor temperatures including extreme heat and cold in summer and winter.
