Production Team Lead

As a Production Lead in our assembly plant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the production process to ensure efficient operations and high-quality output. You will be responsible for leading a team of production workers, monitoring production targets, and implementing process improvements to optimize productivity and meet customer demands. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Guide a team of production workers, providing clear instructions and setting performance expectations.
• Assembly and sub-assembly of parts and products using power tools
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.
• Train new team members on assembly procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Plan and schedule production activities to meet customer orders and deadlines.
• Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with other departments (such as Engineering, Order Fulfillment, and Logistics) to optimize production processes and resolve any production-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify defects, deviations, or non-compliance with specifications.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings.
• Completing assembly assignments as determined by production schedule, shift quotas, and time studies

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly plant environment, with a focus on production coordination and team management.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
