The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for managing part forecasts in support of the Parts Distribution Center (PDC) Inventory Planning team using integrated forecasting applications.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Actively manage forecasts of parts included in seasonal promotions, incorporating all pertinent information to help obtain optimal results.
- Achieve, track, and maintain forecast accuracy according to stated goals.
- Promote continuous improvement of forecasting processes and procedures.
- Work closely with Inventory Planners in achieving optimal inventory management results.
- Manage special projects as necessary.
- Provide timely, quality information to Materials Management through regular updates.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Statistics, or related field is required
- 1 year of relevant work experience (i.e. Inventory Control, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics) including intermediate proficiency with SQL required
- Six Sigma experience a plus
- Advanced PC skills in Word, Excel, and Access a plus
- Knowledge of Python or other coding preferred
- Strong self-management skills and initiative
- Tableau experience preferred
- Knowledge of Blue Yonder/JDA or other forecasting software
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical ability to monitor and identify trends in large volumes of data
