Requisition Summary
The General Accountant is responsible for the timely processing of accounts payable invoices including vehicleinvoices from truck divisions, tire invoices, and other intercompany payable transactions. This position works closely with truck divisions and Contract Administration group on a daily basis to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner and assists with month-end closing process
Job Functions / Responsibilities- Actively involved in various month-end financial close processes, including journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
- Manage tire EDI accounting transactions
- Process accounts payable invoices for PACCAR Leasing (PLC) Corporate US & Canada
- Process expense report via Concur system and key payment vouchers into payable ledger
- Process check requests
- Responsible for verifying and coding of invoices with appropriate general ledger account
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Review vendor statements; reconcile and resolve outstanding issues and debit balances timely
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Provide the department overhead reports to PLC managers
- Accounts Payable related research and issue resolution
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of accounts payable or accounting related experience
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
- Proficient PC skills, including Word, Excel and 10-key by touch
- Must be flexible and have the ability to work well independently
- A/P and AIR Software basic knowledge a plus
Education
- BS/BA Accounting degree preferred
- A two-year associate degree in Accounting required
