Job Functions / Responsibilities
PACCAR Winch is seeking to fill a Senior Buyer position. This positionreports directly to the Purchasing Manager and is responsible for purchasing assigned commodities, based on requirements and exercising independent judgment. Position will be responsible for supplier management, supplier development and other project management as assigned.
Duties include:
- Reviews supplier pricing, quality and delivery to determine selection of suppliers
- Coordinates cross functional teams as necessary for project completion
- Performs order follow-up for timely delivery in support of schedule
- Monitors supplier performance using Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics
- Organizes and leads improvement projects, and resourcing efforts utilizing 6-Sigma tools or other problem solving tools
- Communicate and conduct supplier business reviews with plant and division personnel at all management levels
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor level degreerequired, with emphasis inSupply Chainpreferred.
- 2-7 years of closely related experience in purchasing, business, economics or engineering.
- Excellent written, and oral communication skills, software proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Team player, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently with changing priorities
- Proficient software skills including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
