As a leader, you will help define and build the new Commercial Growth function within West Monroe’s Strategic Growth group. This function is designed to fuel the firm’s organic growth by productizing our repeatable offerings, ensuring they bring together traditional consulting, product mindset, and proprietary software assets to help our clients become digital and realize financial returns.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving multidisciplinary teams across the firm to understand the industry-led issues facing our clients, designing solutions that are supported by proprietary assets {Intellio®}, and positioned to drive financial value for our clients. These repeatable offerings will be core to West Monroe’s ability to drive organic growth and more consistent and predictable revenue.

Commercial Growth is being established at the end of 2021 into 2022, thus the ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and high level of comfort with ambiguity. This leader is a player-coach, which means they should anticipate rolling up their sleeves to develop strategies, and likewise lead, mentor, and build a team of junior resources. Change management skills are a must, as well as a desire to influence the direction of the firm. 15-20 years of experience in digital consulting, product design and portfolio management, business development, client delivery and management, and leading multidisciplinary teams is key. This GTM, Sales, and Delivery Enablement Director will have the opportunity to work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, and Chief Operating Officer.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

  • Design a highly innovative approach to how we build offerings, leveraging new technology capabilities including “hybrid/meta” capabilities of bringing people together
  • Define the investments and capabilities needed to design, build, launch, and iterate on offerings
  • Design a collaborative portfolio management approach to ensure 100% of offerings are on-strategy
  • Partner with consulting line and other shared services resources to ensure the offerings the team creates are highly relevant, leverage on proprietary assets, and deliver quantifiable financial value for our clients
  • Direct the development of 3 – 5 repeatable frameworks that will inform how we deliver work, consistently
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing offerings/develop framework for assessing maturity of offering
  • Socialize and create buy in for KPIs that enable management to track progress against offering adoption and performance
  • Create personal goals related to both the adoption of offerings internally as well as their reception by clients in the market
  • Understand the drivers of financial success for offerings and consistently lead the team to consistently improve those drivers
  • Develop next generation of leaders via active coaching/mentoring/development plans for senior leaders within Commercial Growth team, mobilizing a team that partners with consulting line to create offerings
  • Serve as leader within the firm, representing Commercial Growth in cross-functional pursuits, and present to executive leadership/board as needed
  • Build executive level relationships with key line operators to enhance adoption of new methods/approaches
  • Partner with the Chief Revenue Officer to establish an approach for educating the line on the offerings and ensuring we are selling and delivering them consistently
  • Proactively identify skills/capabilities required to deliver against the firm’s strategy

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum 15-20 years of work experience, including direct client delivery in a consulting environment
  • Experience understanding client needs and developing strategies and productized solutions that enable our team to compete and win in the market
  • Experience designing and standing up internal teams and processes designed to drive change within an organization
  • Ability to lead teams by influence, activating others to execute and drive results by collaborating across functions in a matrixed environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for stakeholder and change management as well as relationship building
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with prior experience preparing and delivering executive-level presentations
  • High level of maturity in a highly visible role with access to confidential information
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
