Die Cast Operator

The Die Cast Operator is required to operate a die cast machine in strict compliance with approved processes. They are responsible for visual inspection of die cast parts for quality. Die Cast operators are responsible for keeping the machine running, and to perform required secondary operations. Secondary operations are, but not limited to, trimming, sanding / filing, drilling, and shot blasting. It is the Die Cast Operators responsibility to keep their workstation neat and orderly. Job Functions: Learn the operation of the die cast machines. Observe continuous operation of automatic die cast machines to ensure that products meet specifications and that the machine achieves maximum uptime. Visually inspect products for surface and obvious dimensional defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications. Trim excess material from parts. Place product into appropriate container. Accurately record production transactions and work time. Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries. Skills: ·Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others, and to follow instructions. ·Demonstrates a high level of dependability. ·Ability to learn and properly apply new job-related information in a timely manner. ·Ability to perform basic measurement and basic math tasks. ·Performs jobs in a manner that minimizes hazards to self and others. ·Maintain a clean and safe work environment. ·Awareness of conditions or circumstances that affect one’s own safety or the safety of others. ·Produces and checks product insuring that it meets set quality standards. ·Demonstrates a high level of care and thoroughness. ·Ability to be a team player. Required Experience: High School Diploma desired, but not required. Physical Demands: Training is provided. Occasionally lifts or moves part weighing up to 30 lbs. Must be able to Ascend/Descend, work atop ladders and equipment. Must be able to Sit, Stand, Walk, Climb, Stoop, Kneel.
