Position Summary
The position will work in collaboration with internal and external colleagues in health care agencies as well as in Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, the Welcome Center, Student Life, Enrollment Management, Marketing and Communication, University Relations, and Alumni Relations in an effort to recruit CHP Undergraduate students in Nursing and Health Science.
Position Duties
- Work with the College of Health Professions ( CHP ) and the Lienhard School of Nursing ( LSN ) Administration to develop and implement a strategic enrollment plan designed to exceed enrollment goals.
- Represent CHP and LSN at nursing job fairs, professional meetings, career expos, hospital fairs, community colleges, and external open houses.
- Generate inquiries and applications for First-Year, Transfer, and International student populations.
- Attend all internal recruitment activities, planning meetings for Pace University Open Houses, Pace Bound conversion events, phonathons to accepted non-deposited students, information sessions, Rising Senior Days, special interest tours and arrange individual meetings with potential students and their families.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with high school and middle school students, professional organizations, and other community agencies interested in the higher education opportunities located in Metropolitan New York.
- Produce a weekly report (as directed) to summarize work activity, successes, as well as challenges.
- Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 1-3 years of recruitment experience required. Experience reviewing applications and student credentials is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision along with maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills along with the ability to plan and coordinate special projects to work effectively with available technology.
- Goal-oriented and able to multitask.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SCT Banner preferred
Work Hours
- 15-20 hours per week.
- Most recruitment will take place between Monday-Friday. However, CHP reserves the right to request coverage for evening and weekend events. Travel to NYC may be required.
Salary Range $20/hr - $25/hr
