We seek a highly skilled and motivated VP of Manufacturing Operations who wants to get involved with a small, fast-paced, and dynamic company. You will be the lead executive of our manufacturing and supply chain organizations, reporting to the CEO. You will be responsible for manufacturing processes involving planning, design, implementation, validation, and production.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or related work experience.
Minimum 10 years of strong defense industrial-based experience in manufacturing and deliveries.
Proven track record of success in optimizing manufacturing operations, improving efficiency, and driving operational excellence.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, quality management systems, and industry standards and regulations.
Demonstrated strong leadership abilities, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a highly dynamic and positive environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker who can develop and execute plans to achieve operational objectives and drive long-term growth and profitability.
Results-oriented mindset focusing on continuous improvement and committed to delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Lead Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality groups by managing PCB Assembly process for all hardware products. Manage the Purchase Requisition Process and verify all the data is valid on the PRs/ Ensure all incoming product is inspected and documented.
Clearly communicate status using the established collaboration tools.
Create clear and concise Manufacturing Assembly and test procedures.
Own the workstream of the manufacturing project plan; responsible for adjusting and revising documents, procuring components for manufacturing, and test validation.
Advise engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities, and standard practices to contribute to the development of designs; coordinate with support groups to ensure capabilities and capacity are developed to support new products.
Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing by meeting quality, cost, operating specifications, and customer/company standard requirements. Applies DBS to improve production processes and achieve cost reduction.
Manage module-level contract manufacturing production partnerships.
Plan, define, and implement new manufacturing systems for new product introductions for in-house and contract manufacturer(s) production.
Ensure design producibility. Refine, modify, or provide input into applications, processes, and devices as required to meet manufacturing and test requirements. Analyze data, evaluate, and implement improvements to meet contract/schedule/quality requirements.
Design and maintain the highest quality military and commercial standards for delivered and serviced products.
Contribute to the generation of manufacturing schedules that meet program schedule milestones.
Work independently or in a team environment to resolve program issues using data-based root cause analysis; diligently apply firm corrective actions.
Demonstrate the ability to organize information, job tasks, and manage time for the most efficient and "best value" performance.
