A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE LANDSCAPING PERMIT COORDINATOR
As our Landscaping Permit Coordinator, you play an essential role in our company's ability to start and finish landscaping construction projects. Without your diligent research skills and thorough understanding of building codes and zoning laws, we cannot efficiently complete them. You maintain an in-house library of building code information that makes it easier to obtain permits quickly. In the beginning stages of a project, you research and gather municipality zoning data to advise our designers on the appropriate codes and laws.
Meticulously, you obtain every document we need for the project, including soil reports, land surveys, and fuel modification plans. You ensure every project meets all zoning standards while remaining profitable by coordinating with both city officials and project estimators. Additionally, you develop positive relationships with industry professionals in order to make our company a priority among their other clients. You feel great about ensuring our company can continue to service our clients and complete our outdoor construction projects!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE LANDSCAPING PERMIT COORDINATOR
- Ability to learn and research building codes and zoning laws
- Very organized and diligent in getting things done
- Prepare AutoCAD plans to city standards and requirements
- Procure structural & civil engineering, soil reports, surveys, fuel modification plans, or any technical plans/reports needed from outside professionals
- 3 years of permit and/or construction drawing experience
- Effective communicator and great customer relation skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD & Microsoft Office
- Commute to our main office in Sun Valley on a daily basis
- Have a reliable vehicle and insurance
