Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Processes:
- Assist in developing and implementing strategic sourcing and procurement processes.
- Aggressively manage costs to mitigate market movement effects.
- Assist in negotiations with vendors for materials, supplies, equipment, and services.
- Identify and develop new supply sources where existing vendors are inadequate.
- Achieve optimum cost while ensuring high levels of quality and service, and meeting delivery targets.
- Monitor costs and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Assist in directing contract terms and managing vendor contracts to track financial terms, renewal terms, and other contractual terms. Prepare relevant reports identifying the status of open purchases.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Supply day-to-day management to ensure product availability and performance.
- Set quantity levels for each SKU that meet inventory and profit goals.
- Schedule and coordinate product pick-ups for the pool truck. Spot check incoming receiving shipments.
- Review inventory, item movement/history, ad projections, and product supply to determine needs and place orders
- Communicate daily market conditions, incoming products, current inventory, and potential/current outages
- Develop price forecasts for key market drivers
- Ensure materials are purchased in a timely manner and all business transactions are conducted professionally
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced mathematics proficiency
