What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wait Staff (Seasonal) position at Pacific Seafood?
As part of the Wait Staff, you will provide prompt, excellent customer service to patrons of The Fish Peddler. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner, as well as assisting the kitchen staff and the fish counter. You will maintain product knowledge, quality control, and building relationships with store customers.
Salary: $15.74 Per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.
- Lead the company’s mission to first identify, then satisfy the customers’ needs profitably creating a positive, welcoming, friendly environment.
- Assist restaurant customers by taking food orders and providing entrée information and order suggestions.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of menu.
- Serve orders promptly.
- Assist customers with inquiries and complaints.
- Maintain a clean work environment, wash dishes, wipe down tables and counters.
- Assist the kitchen staff and the fish counter when necessary.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required
- No required experience needed.
Preferred
- One year of experience in waiting tables and serving, or a combination of training and experience.
- Prior formal culinary training.
- Food handler’s card.
