Job Posting for VP, Product Manager, Foreign Exchange (FX) at Pacific Western Bank
Overview
The products covered by the Product Manager, FX represent new and existing FX products for our customers including spot and forward trades, hedging, FX derivatives, multi-currency accounts, and correspondent banking. You will also own key relationships with business and technology partners or vendors. You will play a key role in enhancing core capabilities while growing a new suite of FX and international payments in our product vision.
Responsibilities
As a Product Manager, FX you will be responsible for owning the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for new and existing FX solutions and providing product support to frontline sales
Perform ongoing management and business readiness of product launches, enhancements, upgrades and regulatory compliance
Work with sales, operations, business leaders, or other partners to identify and define customer needs, and develop and execute on strategies to address these needs
Continually leverage data and collect customer feedback to iterate and evolve products to improve solutions and reduce user friction
Work closely with our Digital Banking, Data, and Technology teams to perform user research and design the user journey map to iterate on requirements and feature improvements
Articulate clear product plans to drive alignment and prioritizations across the business
Proactively collaborate with cross-functional team members across the organization including Client Service, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Sales to create and improve processes and procedures
Act as a subject matter expert for your products; understand the market and trends, provide training and expertise to sales and other client facing teams
Create a product wiki and own continual updates to internal and external sites
Perform ongoing market review of partners and competitors, including fintechs, on pricing and capabilities to identify opportunities and partnerships
Analyze data and report on the product’s performance to management and other key stakeholders
Manage vendors and partnerships related to the delivery of our FX and multicurrency account solutions
Be the evangelist for your products to internal stakeholders and clients
Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum of 5 years of FX product management, sales, or related experience.
Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience
Strong domain expertise in FX contracts, hedging strategies, multi-currency accounts, correspondent banking relationships, etc.
Knowledge of Agile routines
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
Analytical mindset including familiarity with commercial banking and data analysis
Strong business acumen and client-facing experience in uncovering potential needs and sales opportunities
Experience with building a marketing and product promotion plan
Experience building business cases for a product, develop roadmaps, and own the OKRs
Exhibits attention to detail and ability to manage schedule to meet aggressive deadlines
Experience managing and resolving issues with vendors and partners
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word, ppt, visio)

Preferred:
Certified Treasury Professional certification
Knowledge of FIS, Finzly, FX Star preferred
Familiarity with APIs preferred
Physical Requirements:
Role requires sitting or standing in front of a computer monitor for prolonged periods of time in a fixed neck position.
Constant use of a computer or other office equipment resulting in repeating motions of the hands and wrists.
Light work that may include moving objects up to 20 pounds.
