What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Engineer position at PACO Group?
PACO Group, Inc. (PACO) is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team on the East Side Access (ESA) Project, which includes a new terminal and concourse beneath Grand Central Terminal for Long Island Railroad (“LIRR”) service to the East Side of Manhattan.
Responsibilities
Managing and coordinating work, punch lists, and testing and commissioning of
buildings systems work.
Monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or agency requirements.
Reviewing of shop drawings, Construction Work Plans (“CWPs”), asset management data, and as-builts.
Identifying tracking and resolution of commercial issues.
Managing and tracking databases and reports; and
Monitoring the contractor’s prosecution of work and schedule.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, and/or equivalent; and Professional Engineer.
Minimum Experience
Substantial experience in construction management.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to cope with shifting priorities, difficult situations, and multiple deadlines.
Ability to read and understand construction contract documents.
Ability to manage tasks independently.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong communication skills.
Experience with complex construction projects in the transportation, military, or government sectors; and Substantial railroad-related experience.
