ARCHITECT
REAL ESTATE OWNER/DEVELOPER
PacTrust is a well-established, commercial real estate owner/developer seeking a qualified design professional to create in-house design development and construction drawings for company-owned properties. As one of the Pacific Northwest's largest real estate developers and investment property owners, PacTrust has been a trusted name in commercial real estate for nearly 50 years and owns and manages over 14 million square feet of various real estate product types. This position is based out of PacTrust’s corporate office in Tigard, OR and will focus primarily on tenant improvement design for operating office, industrial, flex and retail properties in the Portland area.
Responsibilities
- Develop design documents and produce construction documents and specifications for tenant improvement projects.
- Assist, establish and coordinate programming with tenants, outside consultants and in-house disciplines. Perform work that requires independent judgment, evaluation, selection and modification to existing and evolving tenant improvement standards within a diverse portfolio.
Requirements
- 5 – 15 years of experience.
- Architecture license preferred or NCARB/IDP requirements complete and ready to take the Oregon & Washington Architectural Registration Examination.
- AutoCAD & Revit proficiency.
- Proficient with MS Office suite and PDF editing software such as Bluebeam, Photoshop, and InDesign capabilities are beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and manage design development, construction documents, assist with construction administration and punchlists, and interact with jurisdictional authorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate well with clients, consultants, jurisdictional authorities, and co-workers.
- Strong understanding of design and construction fundamentals, as well as project documentation, details, materials/products, building structures/operating systems, and sustainable building practices.
