Assistant Coach Position Summary:
The Assistant Coach will work with current yard coaches to meet yard and company goals by running a safe and profitable yard.
- Assist with non-ferrous scale, heavy equipment, industrial scale as well as the ASR desk.
- Ensure shipments are correct to post with matching receiving weights.
- Assist with upgrading material and increase knowledge of scrap industry.
- Ensure daily inventory numbers are accurate.
- Assist Coach with daily paperwork
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Assist with training new Team Members.
Assistant Coach Position Qualifications:
- Previous leadership role with ability to network and negotiate in a sales setting
- Strong conflict resolution experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to inspire trust from team members and customers
- Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong problem solving skills
