Overview
This is an exciting role meant to support our development, engagement and retention strategies as a fast-growing, 4th generation family-owned company. The Team Member Experience Specialist is responsible for designing & executing programs and initiatives which support employee development, engagement, and retention, while ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives. This position provides excellent customer service and assists with designing quality team member engagement activities throughout the employee lifecycle. The Experience Specialist continually explores new opportunities while recommending improvements to existing programs.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership
· Facilitate PADNOS 101; weekly day one orientation sessions, in person and virtually. Redesign and restructure to create a high impact, engaging experience for all new hires.
· Design, lead, and manage the internship program, building a high impact experience for our interns. Partner with our recruiting team and leaders across the organization to proactively identify open positions, support recruiting efforts, and ensure job descriptions align with outcomes of role. Grow pipeline of Team Members through internship program.
· Designs, manages, and grow our Apprenticeship program to support business goals. Work with leaders to identify workforce gaps and build a strategy to attract and retain high-quality apprentices into our skilled trades workforce.
· Facilitates our Potential Future Promotion development program and Coaches 101 new leader onboarding. Recommends continuous improvement to meet development and engagement outcomes.
· Support the President and CHRO with the coordination and execution of our Culture 101 and 102 sessions.
· Manages and proactively communicates our all-company key event calendar for Team Members, such as summer celebration, holiday cards, Team of Champions, length of service initiatives, etc.
· Manages our signature Dependent Scholarship and Tuition Reimbursement Programs; works with team members interested in pursuing continuing education for themselves or scholarships for dependents.
· Support DEI Council and President in executing key initiatives throughout the year.
Engagement Initiatives
· Redesigns and manages stay and exit interview process, as well as new hire onboarding experience survey. Builds insights and makes recommendations from data to improve key metrics.
· Recommend, order, inventory and manage employee onboarding and recognition gifts.
· Develop annual calendar of events and cadence of team member experiences and HR communication throughout the year.
· Designs and manages engagement activities through timely and inspired communication on PADNOS’ in-house social media site.
· Manage and coordinate bereavement, new birth/adoption, other similar celebration gifts.
· Send anniversary and birthday notifications to executive leadership.
· Manages all communication, and employee information with great care and confidentiality.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study preferred.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) not required but a plus
· SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification a plus, not required.
· Must be detail oriented.
· Must be willing to visit site locations, including indoor/outdoor manufacturing settings.
· Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
· Knowledge of instructional design methodologies, design thinking, and/or basic experience design (5 E’s, etc.).
· Program and portfolio management. Demonstrated ability to lead and own multiple programs simultaneously.
· Experience leading change initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups, including the ability to own a point of view and communicate the why in a compelling way
· Ability to own all aspects of a program – design, deliver, and ongoing management
