Role
As a Legal Associate, you are a detail-oriented, hard-working, problem solver with an optimistic attitude, that can easily (and happily) wear many hats. You are able to uphold our company’s principles and values while adding to our unique culture. As a member of our Legal Team, you will broadly be responsible for Communication and Compliance.
Responsibilities
Communication
- Advising company stakeholders on employment law issues
- Coordinate expert legal support in target geographies
- Partner with technical personnel to automate processes and improve organizational efficiency
- Ability to work with a wide range of personalities both within and outside the Company
Compliance
- Complete general transactional legal work
- Draft legal frameworks to enable our business model
- Maintain legal forms, including the maintenance of sample language to expedite drafting and revision processes
- Research applicable zoning, landlord-tenant, lodging regulations in target geographies
- Gather and analyze information to prepare oral or written reports and presentations
- Establish risk mitigation processes
- Complete internal company investigations
- Review and prepare contracts with vendors and partners
- Experience with navigating municipal codes and ordinances
- Implement, improve and maintain a contract and company record management process with deal status
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-5 Years of legal experience
- Litigation experience (Civil and/or Criminal)
- Experience in City/County/State legal affairs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Real Estate/ Affordable housing
Salary: Commensurate with experience and equity options available
