Risk Analysts will develop and assist in strategic risk analyses and other risk-reducing efforts, including data identification and collection across TSA organization elements, inputting data into risk models and other mitigation and management tools, validating and correcting data in risk models, and assisting with analysis of risk scenarios and development of risk reduction options.
These positions require a broad range of research skills, and the ability to perform quantitative analysis. Analysts are involved in nearly all aspects of project work, interacting closely with other analysts and clients in analyzing data, preparing client presentations, and drafting reports.
Skills & Other Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate quantitative skills, writing ability, and the ability to execute qualitative analysis. Candidates must be highly motivated, analytical, detail oriented, able to work independently or in teams, be able to multi-task, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Other requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to secure DHS Suitability
- Ability to transform raw data into easily understood, presentable and actionable findings
- Must be able to handle multiple, concurrent tasks with accuracy and proficiency in an often fast-paced environment
- Must have good written communication skills
- Must possess ability to work under tight time lines
- Must possess good computer skills and exhibit proficiency with current software (E.g. Microsoft suite)
- Must be able to perform mathematical computations and possess good analytical skills
- Must possess strong organizational skills
Preferred:
- Secret or Top Secret Clearance
- Experience with Quickbase, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL or other similar tools highly preferred
- Experience in aggregation of risks from multiple stakeholders
- Experience with TSA or transportation sector
- Experience with Agile Frameworks
