The Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining finances, ensuring contractual compliance, cost management, budget development and analyses, financial estimating, and proposal support. The Financial Analyst duties includes Financial/Program Control responsibilities in support of areas of budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting and spending estimates.
Utilizes creative and innovative resource planning solutions to ensure that corporate, customer and program deliverables are being met in a timely and accurate manner. Coordinates with Program Management prior to submitting responses to Corporate and Customers.
- Must be capable of forecasting cost information and predicting cost/budget issues that need to be addressed with Program Managers and other Management as required.
- Develops financial reports for management reporting, forecasting, trending, and results analysis. Including financial outlook and annual operating plan.
- Ensures financial, accounting, audit compliance and efficient monthly accounting closing cycle providing detailed accurate financial analysis of any variances.
- Invoicing labor, non-labor, and travel costs. Providing detailed supporting documentation and verifying costs.
- Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as FAR, other government regulations, GAAP, and CAS requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance and accounting processes and reporting.
- Responsible for ensuring proper timekeeping is upheld by supervisors and employees. Identify incorrect timesheet entries and assist employees with corrections.
- Verify travel/expense reports have been properly completed with required supporting documentation.
- Utilize financial databases and reporting tools to generate various financial reports as required.
- Assists management team on all pricing and proposal efforts.
- Performs ad-hoc assignments and data calls as directed by management
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
•Minimum of 3 years of related experience in finance, including government contracting experience with Cost Plus Fixed Fee contracts.
•Requires understanding of all accounting and financial transactions to include cost review, reconciliations of accounts, and adjustments.
•Team player with strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Multi-tasker with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
•Experience in Deltek, CostPoint and Share Point desired
•Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance

- Intermediate knowledge of Excel. Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Sharepoint and PowerPoint.
