Test Engineer

Amentum is currently seeking a Test Engineer to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500 work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems. **This position can be performed remotely, but you must reside in the United States.** You will be a part of a team providing web design and development services for the organization. This team considers the necessary content management and delivery vehicles needed to attain customer business goals, including web content and communication products. In this role you will consult and support all aspects of web development, such as systems analysis and design, user interface and experience design, workflow support, programming, project leadership, and product user training and support. As a member of the team, you will: Plan and implement testing (e.g., regression, functional, data validation, system integration, or performance tests) for new and existing functionality. Work closely with development teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the development process. Plan, create, execute, and automate test cases, working with business partners, developers, and other stakeholders. Document and analyze test results and recommend corrective action. Isolate, reproduce, and manage defects, and verify fixes. Support user acceptance testing conducted by business partners or end users. Identify opportunities to reduce testing time and effort by automating repeatable tests. Understand and apply automated testing approaches such as model-based testing or record-and-replay. Review developers’ test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage (where applicable) Minimum Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience OR an Associates Degree and 5 years of experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 8 years of experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location. Experience designing and implementing test plans. Proficiency in Mac and Windows platforms and all major browsers. Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge of agile practices and experience with agile planning tools. Agile software development experience. Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript. Experience writing test automation scripts. Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, XRay, Qtest, Quality Center) Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer, Playwright) Experience working with web applications, HTML, CSS, JSON, and REST APIs.
